Its gameshow time!!! In DEAL OR NO DEAL, each group were to come up with the ready bag. However, to begin with they were only given one set of resources. They would then have to trade or go to the auctions to find the other resources. There was also the black market that attempted to tempt the groups with promises of luxury items-not necessary in the bag. Not forgetting the doctor that gave out the MY MEDICAL RECORD and hawkers selling various items to the participants. And then there were government officers who kept throwing monopoly money and tokens which attracted the most attention. Through the hustle and bustle of the fanfair, we all went all out to assemble our ready bags and get the best deals down-it was all a lot of fun excitement and adrenaline! A perfect way to end the night!

It’s time for channel surfing! Being given 8 channels to surf around, we get to choose the activities we want to ‘watch’.

As the saying goes, nothing is as good as the real stuff. Instead of just being the viewers, we became the actual participants of the TV Programmes. Army channel has showed the importance of taking 100% responsibility for our communication to provide accurate information. We’ve learned to manage our state and create stronger team synergy in times of crisis through Genius World of Records. Fear Factor has also implanted in us the mindset of staying FOCUS in times of hardship to achieve our goals. It also gave us an experience in the lession of unity, no matter what race or social class we are in. Sometimes we may take things for granted, like our prosperity and the food on our plate. While our social cohesion is strong during peacetime, in the event of war or threats will our social unity still be strong? We thus need to set the foundations to be right to understand , appreciate and celebrate our differences and stand united in times of crisis or victory. ONWARDS TO A SINGAPORE UNITED.

Being through such a real experience was an eye opener that we’ll never forget in a long time to come………..

Department Introduction

Shortly after settling into the broadcasting centre, we were being introduced to the different departments, such as Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and also not forgetting the Singapore Police Force as well.

It was an info-packed and a bit of hands-on session where we got to understand more about the workings of the CEP and what we can do to make a difference and ensure we stay prepared for any contingencies that may happen. Like what CPT Alauddin from the SCDF said, READINESS is our only only PROTECTION….

Good Morning SIngapore!

Today is finally the day! With their spirits high up in the air, the ambassadors received a warm welcome performance by the crews upon their arrival at HFSA-TV Broadcasting Centre.

In the next two days, they will all be surfing through different HFSA-TV programmes. Through all these programmes, they’ll learn all the background work of producing a TV channel. More importantly, they’ll draw inspirations to create their very own channel…

Launching TV…

Once upon a time, before the dawn of man and the time of the gorillas and the mammoths, there was nothing… And then there was light! TINK TINK. And then there was the BIG BANG. BANG BANG BANG. (Dont worry nobody was hurt in the process)…this is the evolution of man….

Over centuries, man invented many things…like the oven toaster, the back scratcher, the insect repellant, the bicycle, the car….what other discoveries could he find?

The answer was to be found many years later when this video was found…

and so begun the new revolution of TV…

WELCOME TO THE CHANNEL THAT COUNTS, HOMEFRONT SECURITY AMBASSADOR TV.

Let Me INTRODUCE MYSELF!

My name is RIDDY. I will be your PROGRAMME DIRECTOR and together with my team of specialists we will bring you on an amazing journey of discovery….

For the 52 hours spanning from 23rd to 25th OCTOBER 2008 you will begin a journey. A journey to make a difference, to spread a message, to play a part, to walk the extra mile. IMAGINE you are watching television. All the programmes come to real life, YOU are an interactive part of it. And as you participate in the television programmes that this channel has to offer, you go out there to find a story to tell, a story of life-because each life has a unique story to tell. What is the story you are going to produce, what is the message you are then going to pass on? You will be the harbringer of community cohesion, you do make a difference, and on the course of this journey you will discover how you are going to do it, have fun at doing it and bring meaning and contribution to the society in your roles as HOMEFRONT SECURITY AMBASSADORS!

WELCOME TO REAL TV. A PRODUCTION YOU WILL BE PART OF. A place where you will learn, a time when you will have fun and a calling for you to play an important part of our future!
